SPECIAL NOTICE OF RACING
Global and Oceania Electron Championships 2001
For Electron class radio controlled yachts
The Rarotonga Sailing Club, under the auspices
of the Cook Islands Yachting Federation, invites all Electron sailors to enter the
forthcoming Global Electron Championships 2001. Sailors normally resident in the Oceania
region are also invited to enter the Oceania Electron Championships 2001 to be held at the
same time, with results gained in the Global Championships being applied to the Oceania
Championships for eligible sailors.
DETAILS
Where: The championships will be held in the picturesque lagoon at Muri Beach,
Rarotonga, Cook Islands, South Pacific. It is likely that the regatta will be sailed from
specially constructed platforms moored in suitable locations within the lagoon.
When: 28 to 30 April 2001
Fees: NZ$75 (covers entry to both events for those eligible)

Social and Other Events:
Friday 27 April - Boat registration and welcome get-together
Saturday 28 April - Regatta begins
Monday 29 April - Prizegiving Function
Tuesday 30 April - Trader Jacks Stakes at the waterfront bar of the same name in the
middle of town:

These events are expected to see the largest ever gathering of Electron yachts. To
facilitate the start of detailed planning, please advise the organiser if you are
considering attending.
